How do Closing Costs Work?

Every home sale incurs costs. Buyers and sellers almost always share these costs, as the real estate sales contract specifies.

As indicated below, many of the closing costs result from getting your mortgage loan. At Metrolink Mortgage, we are highly experienced in residential mortgage lending, so we can provide you with a comprehensive report on mortgage-related costs in your "Loan Estimate".

The Loan Estimate (Also known as the LE)

Buyers get a "Loan Estimate" of closing costs at the time the loan application is submitted to the lender. The closing costs specified in the Loan Estimate are estimated based on our experience with mortgage loans, but costs often change by small amounts between the Loan Estimate (LE) and closing. We answer buyers' questions about these costs every day at Metrolink Mortgage, so please be sure to ask if you have questions.

Below is a general list of closing costs. We will always provide you with a specific list of your closing costs when we give you a Loan Estimate.
